Topic: The “Window” of Opportunity
Today we heard from specal guest speaker, Dave Herman, and he showed us a picture of pink roses. Some were wilting. He told us that his thoughts behind the photograph were all about the small amount of time a rose has to show its beauty before that window of opportunity is gone. I thought this related to life in way. We are are born and will one day surely pass away. There is a small window of opportunity to let our light shine. That light may shine for different purposes depending on who you are and your life experiences. For me, I want my light to shine for my awesome students, friends, family, and ultimately for God.
Miss Cade. i really enjoyed what you said today when we all did a group circle. we were all talking about what motivates us in life. you said faith motivates you, it really inspired me because i everyday i struggle with faith and trying to stay motivated and trying to look for reasons to just keep going but after you spoke i realized even if i feel like there is no reason to go on, nothing to motivate me, i have to go on for god. god motivates me. before i started going here i was having doubts about everything!!! doubts about me, doubts about me graduating and most of all doubts about got but you have really opened my eyes to the fact that i need to stop doubting my self!! i feel more sure about my self, i have been reading my bible a little and been trying harder in school! i just want to thank you so much for motivating me.. because thees past couple of months you have been my motivation
Thank you Mariah,
I think you are very strong and determined! I am so looking forward to seeing you walk across the stage in your cap and gown at graduation one day. I will be praying for you along the way.
Ms. Cade
